Great skirt from Faith21. I wonder if they have it in other sizes… so cute!
congratulations. it’s kinda insane to see outfit pictures captured from tv : )

Your video made me kind of sad–like people are giving you a hard time for having to transition your life. I hope they’re not. Having just done the moving & changing jobs in a week think this past year, it’s HARD. And it’s hard to blog on top of that. So my sympathies are with you while you’re smoothing out the change in lifestyle, because it’s hard. I hope that all of your readers and friends are being supportive, and best of luck with everything going on, dear!

Congrats on the big win sweetie. I’m already following you on your MTV blog, and I’m really excited to see the new outfits you have to show us now that you’re in NYC!!
BTW, when you get settled, is there any chance you could do a post about clothes thrifting in the city? I love seeing how other people style thrift store finds!

Ditto with what Ashe said- hope no one is making you feel guilty about your success. Just the fact that you’re an MTV personality is so major- I wish, when I was in junior high and high school (when my self esteem as a fat girl was rock bottom) that there would have been a girl like you in the mainstream who I could identify with and someone to show me that I could be fat and still be fabulous. So, take your time with the blog- you’re going through a epic transition right now- you’re still doing a lot of great work for the fat girls out there just doing what you do
love that faith 21 skirt on the bridge! congrats on the win, bet it’s been a WHIRLWIND

Congrats on the win! The fashion show was really fun, too.
CONGRATULATIONS!! And if people can’t understand the whirlwind of a transition that you’re in right now…..ummm yeah!
But anyway, do you what you gotta do and best of luck to you!!!!!
Be Blessed 😉
Thanks for the video! Don’t be stressing about YFF. We miss you but we know you’ve got stuff to get settled!
Keep looking fab and working it at MTV!!!!
P.s. I think you are the first plus-sized woman to have a major role with MTV and I am just SO SO SO happy that women our size are starting to me represented there! and there really couldn’t be anyone better to do it!
Congratulations! You earned it!
It is so awesome to see you succeeding in such a BIG way! Way to go girl! Way to go!
CONGRATS! on everything that is going on! you look sooooo beautiful in all your pics!
YOU BETTA GET IT!!!
Way to go girlie!!
Congrats Gabby! Love ya girl!
Have you been getting a lot of hate or something? ‘Cause that was a long way of saying you’re still gonna post here. Don’t worry, as someone said above we’ll miss you but we absolutely understand that it’s time and energy consuming starting a new job, especially the one you’ve landed.
The third outfit isn’t really ‘me’, but I think you look incredibly cute in the first two!
so i’ve seen you in this basic black mini every so often, and i was wondering where you found it, what size is it?
Congratulations! I am so so SO happy for you!
Congrats girl!!! You truly inspire me
Im so happy to see you are back posting. I liked the looks.
Congrats!!! I was sad you didn’t update this blog when you won, but I completely understand. Life is busy and we’re all happy for you!
YAY!! GO WOMAN!!! you worked so hard for this and this is only the start!!! when i first started reading your blog you were leaving NYC and now look at YOU coming back bigger and better and bodacious (BBB) hooray for the yff chick! nobody should ever dream small you should always dream BIG!! thats B-I-G! good job!
Your very welcome Gabi. Hope it all goes well. Im a little sad at the fact that it seems that you have had some negagativity come your way. Dont let it rain on your parade.
I am so happy for you.
Best wishes JJ x
Good for you girl, ignore any haters (I know you’re good at that anyway,) be fat and be fabulous. Be all that you can be and you will succeed in anything <3 We love you.

Gabi – When I saw your face on MTV I squealed like a 12 year old girl to my husband “thats the young-fat-and fabulous girl!!! Its gabifresh” He was so confused. But honestly, its a pleasure to see someone as confident and intelligent and beautiful as you represent for yff women everywhere. Rock on!
Congrats. What an amazing opportunity!

yay! glad you’re back
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
I can only imagine how much work you have to do, and how hectic your schedule is. Obviously, your new job and responsibilities come first! Don’t worry about posting; as long as you stay a YFF Lady, then the rest is good!!!!
I wish you the best of luck in your new job at MTV. I am super excited for you! Be sure to post pics of your VMA’s outfit!
Hey babe, I’m a fan of your blog but never leave comments. Just a shout to let you know you’re aweswome and goooodluck with everything!
Hi G! It’s the first time I comment on your blog but I always read you! I discovered YFF some weeks ago and I really liked it. I think you make girls like us feel better with ourselves, so keep on doing that!
Oh… and of course… CONGRATULATIONS! You’ll do it great, I’m sure of that!

Bars, from Spain
keep hustling mama!
Congratulations! It sucks that people were giving you a hard time for being busy on your previous post. Some points were valid (a quick update that you’d won and would be on hiatus for a few weeks, for ex.), but with a new high profile job (MTV! Yay!) people should expect that you’d be super busy and overbooked.
My only (unasked for, but well-intentioned) advice is to not respond to people who expect you to account for every minute of your day. I do, however, hope you make an effort to post here a couple times a month, because you truly ARE an inspiration to a lot of fat people. It’s really exciting to see an FA activist in the limelight, and I’m looking forward to seeing how you represent the movement in your new role as a public figure. Congrats again!
I have to say I absolutely LOVE your blog. Congrats on being the new TJ
Gabi!!! Congrats girlie you were great last night at VMAs and your blog is great. You making Detroit look great
I appreciate the point of this video, but it makes me feel awful. Do people really give you a hard time for not posting. Bottom line: you got a job. A big deal I’m-On-TV job! I think it’s awful for anyone to give you a hard time about not posting regularly when you have a job like yours! Post when you have time! You don’t own anyone any explanations for anything. Goodness. End rant.
I didn’t know about this blog until the voting went on on twitter. (I don’t have a TV, but live tweeting of events is pretty hysterical on Twitter.) I follow some body positive folks who were all pulling for you. I am so proud of you. Congrats on the new job!! And thanks for being you!
You’ve heard it a thousand times now, and I’m gonna say it for myself;
I’M SO PROUD OF YOU!!
We don’t know each other, but I cannot help myself in congratulating you on winning the TJ contest. Hell, I even got onto voting online and following the tweets just to help a Young Fat & Fabulous Woman win this thing!!
Now do what you please with my advice; Don’t apologize for your success and don’t feel bad about your life and schedule changing. Ever! I mean, the best thing to do (as I’m pretty sure you are doing) is to give love and passion where you’re AT, in the moment. Even if the posts here are far and apart, you can still deliver quality. And THAT is what is important.
We girls want to do it all… And nobody is Wonder Woman. Have fun with your new assignments, and I wish you a long career!
