While it’s true that I like a foundation with heavier coverage for events or photo shoots, when it comes to day-to-day life, I like to let my skin breathe. Even with problem skin I’d often go without makeup, but once I discovered tinted moisturizers, I never looked back. I thought I’d found one I’d use forever, but I’ve recently revamped my lifestyle–both in eating habits and products I use–and I’m really, really trying to go as natural and toxic free as possible. When it comes to cosmetics, the first brand I associate with natural is bareMinerals (I mean, their tagline is Be Original, Be Natural, Be Good)!
They just launched a new tinted hydrating gel cream called Complexion Rescue and asked if I’d like to try it–I jumped at the chance. What I noticed immediately my first time using it is that it has a kind of creamy mousse-like consistency, so it makes sense that they don’t just call it a tinted moisturizer. It applies lightly, but I found it still has more coverage than similar products. It takes a minute to dry, but once it does it leaves me with a natural, glowy look that’s perfect for the days when I don’t want to wear anything heavy. Below I’m literally just wearing the Complexion Rescue in Spice 08, a little under eye concealer and lipstick.

Gabi, I’m so glad to see you’ve tried this. I’ve been wanting to try it for a minute now, but I have so many products I’m trying to use up! I also have super sensitive and acne-prone skin, however my skin is also super dry (and a lot of it is due to the epiduo and aczone my dermatologist has had me using- and it’s worked wonders). How do you think the complexion rescue would do on dry skin? P.S. I can’t even tell you ever have any problem with your skin – you are beautiful
