I turned 30 on September 9th, and it was hands down the best experience of my life. Fourteen of my closest friends joined me in Santorini, Greece for six days and we had even more fun than I could have anticipated. Santorini had been on my bucket list for years, and I decided there was no better time than now. I emailed a huge list of people one year ago saying I wanted to do a destination birthday trip, but I honestly thought only a few would actually be able to make it. When so many people excitedly responded yes, I was thrilled…and then extremely overwhelmed. I had to plan for way more than I expected. The hardest part was finding a place that would have enough beds for so many people. I knew I wanted to share a house, not a hotel, so that we could have a more intimate trip. I also knew I wanted the stereotypical Santorini housing that was all white–so that narrowed down my options. When I found Villa Fabrica, I immediately knew it was the perfect place. It’s a huge villa with different levels and individual units that can be rented out by multiple parties, but we had enough people to have the entire thing to ourselves. I was initially a little sad because I wanted to stay in Oia, the most well-known part of Santorini, but it was never an issue once we got there. The island itself is pretty small so getting from one end to the other wasn’t so bad, and Pyrgos ended up having its own charm and some really great places that we stumbled upon to eat and shop without all the tourists.
Because the villa was gorgeous (and *cough* pricey), we spent a lot of time there! Below I’m wearing a bikini from swimsuitsforall, and a star print coverup from Zelie For She. Lots more to come in future posts!
