If you follow me on snapchat (@gabi.gregg), you know that last week I had the pleasure of going to Jared for a store event and I had such a good time! I went in with the expectation of seeing lots of beautiful diamonds–and trust me, I did–but I also found out other amazing things about the brand, like the fact that they have fashion jewelry too, not just bridal. And while they carry really great brands like Pandora and Vera Wang, they also have an exclusive line called Chosen. My favorite part of the store tour was learning that they can make custom diamond rings. You (or your potential fiancé) can come in with just a rough sketch, and they can take your idea and make it into a reality. I think this is such a cool way to get a unique engagement ring that really speaks to your personal style, and I hope to get one made in the future!

I browsed the store and fell in love over and over, finally deciding to try on two necklaces, a bracelet and a ring. After taking photos, it pained me to take all of the gorgeous pieces off. I actually stayed an extra 30 minutes after the event ended deciding whether to buy the Neil Lane ring. It was so gorgeous, and I couldn’t get over the great price! Ultimately, I decided it was probably bad luck; even though I would have worn it as a cocktail ring, it was clearly meant to be an engagement ring and I’d rather wait for one of those. But I walked away knowing that I would definitely come back to Jared–not only when I’m thinking about marriage, but for other special events in my life too. The holidays are coming up, after all!
