Ahh, time flies–I feel like I just dropped my last collection! That said, I’m so excited that my new Summer collection launches today! It’s definitely a departure from my other recent campaigns and designs, and features bright, playful suits. From fun prints like pineapples and parrots to neon colors and rainbow stripes, this collection is all about summertime fun.
The best part about this campaign was the process of casting the models. We had an open casting call in LA, and over 500 people showed up! It was seriously such a career highlight–getting to meet so many beautiful women of all sizes who wanted to help empower others and spread a message of body positivity was truly inspiring. It was ridiculously hard to narrow it down to nine…I still don’t know how I managed! But everyone had such a great time on set, the energy was palpable because we were all so excited.
We got our idea for the creative direction of the shoot from the collection itself, and decided that the Santa Monica Pier would be the perfect backdrop. The suits are perfect for the carnival/amusement park vibe, and everything came together seamlessly. I can’t get over how amazing everyone looks in the photos! Showing such body diversity in a major swimsuit photoshoot was really important to me, and I’m truly happy with the representation shown in this campaign.
