Last Saturday I had the pleasure of attending The Art of Fashion in New York, an event that featured Jibri’s Fall/Winter ’09 Collection. Using mostly muted tones like grey and plum, the line was completely cohesive with Jibri’s usual structural aesthetic (high collars, ruffles, etc). I wish the hemlines were a tad shorter (surprise, surprise), but overall I’m digging it. Check it out and let me know what you think:

I LOVE dresses 3 & 4! And that coat is amazing…
They’re pretty amazing – Jibri are probably my favourite plus size designers at the moment.
Now those – I REALLY like. (Even the hemline LOL)The gray dress with the popped collar – love that!
Yes, I could deal with the hemlines being 3 to 4 inches shorter, but I suppose that isn’t a hard fix. I am really digging the sleeveless with the high collar, although these styles won’t be easy to rock unless you have a closecut hairstyle or will be wearing an updo.
I love, love, love the clothes, but I was REALLY freaked out when I visited their website.
The fashion story-board about a desperate housewife who kills her husband while looking terribly stylish and calm was just a bit too out there for me.
But, that’s just my opinion, and it shouldn’t detract from how fabulous those grey dresses are.
the make up is FIERCE! x
That irridescent coat is to DIE for! Love it!
Nice Blog. Congrats.

I’m loving the collection, especially the plum peplum skirt. I do agree with you the hemlines though, shorter would be cuter, but I know everyone isn’t into that.
Sidebar: I got the letter earlier this week. Thanks peach!
