I’ve been wanting to post an outfit for ages, but it seems like whenever I actually wear something worthy of presenting to the e-world, I have no one around to play photographer. The days of setting my camera on random objects and using a self-timer are behind me, and I don’t have the money for a tripod. Today, finally, I knew my roommate would be around, so I decided it would be a good day to take pictures. Of course as soon as I got ready, the weather went crazy (I’m talking like, apocalypse). Neither of us were really up for leaving the house, but I went on the back porch for 30 seconds before giving up. Standing in front of trash cans with frizzy hair and wet shoes is not my idea of a good blog post. I included a separate picture of the dress, since we didn’t even manage to get a good full-length shot. At least you can get a glimpse of my new lace leotard and Jeffrey Campbell 99 look-a-likes from Forever21. Real outfit coming on the next sunny day!

woo hoo i JUST bought those same shoes too after hunting forever for an affordable jeffrey campbell knockoff!! found them last week for the first time ever in a F21 and was SO. HAPPY.
If my imaganation is correct, you look amazing.

if you are looking for a pocket/pursable tripod, try a gorillapod. you can wrap it around anything that stands still, and self-photograph away!

haha yeah… that’s how my camera died – from placing it on top of some unreliable object. i was working through the storm but my kitchen and living room were flooded when i got home.

I just ordered those wedges last nite, unbeknown to your post about them. Are they comfortable? Run true to size? Ive been looking for a great pair of oxford wedges for ages and these have the perfect look. just wish they were leather.
Funny thing, i was chatting with Gabby/corazones rojos last nite and she asks me how the sizing is for f21 shoes and I immediately know she’s asking me cuz of these wedges. ahaha get them now before they sell out!

Oh, I so feel your pain. Rain and frizzy hair, do not mesh well. I love the shoes, and although there is a glimpse of you in the photo, you still look great even with the umbrella in hand. I love your blog and enjoy your daily posts.

Adorable dress. I love the puff sleeves.
I’m able to take self photos by using my Gorillapod. It’s a small flexible tri-pod that attaches to the base of your digital camera, and has flexible legs that you can wrap around most anything. I wrap them around my tall, wrought iron book case, put my camera on self timer, step back, pose and take the shot. I usually take several shots of an outfit and keep the ones I like, delete the ones I don’t.
