A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to go to Paris with Catherine’s and I had the time of my life! I was extra excited because along with the Catherine’s team, Alex from Learning to Be Fearless was there too–we had so much fun together exploring the city, sightseeing, and eating some of the best food in the world. You can shop all of my looks and picks here!
On day 1, I felt super Parisian in a chic all black look. I wore a cropped tee with this cute pleated midi skirt and long peacoat. We walked around the city, visited a few of the famous bridges and monuments before heading to Le Studio des Parfums. We each got to make our own custom scents by choosing the base, middle and top notes that most appealed to us. It’s something I don’t think I ever would have thought to do on my own, but I’m so happy I got the chance! I definitely recommend going if you’re visiting Paris, especially in a group of friends (call ahead!)
On day 2, I paired this white turtleneck with these black culottes–I love both pieces. I knotted the turtleneck because I wanted to show the top of the pants (not to mention I’m all about making a look my own!) Don’t be afraid to to style more basic pieces with some creativity; I’m a huge believer in the idea that you can shop almost anywhere, find pieces that work for you, and add your own flair.
We took a bus tour around Paris, went to the Eiffel Tower and got to ride the carousel before heading to the Louvre–I’d been before, but it’s so breathtaking that I don’t think I could ever not be overwhelmed by its beauty.
Day 3 may have been my favorite! We went to Musée d’Orsay which was so incredible. We stopped in their cafe because we couldn’t get over the super cute decor and then headed to some thrift stores before making our way to Notre Dame. Between getting settled in and wandering the Paris streets, I was starting to feel a little more like a local than a tourist (until it came to…actually communicating with people). I went for a 70s vibe and wore this studded mustard blouse and flare jeans. I purposely ordered them in petite so they’d hit above my ankle for the kick flare trend that’s really in right now, but I think they’d be really cute full-length too! I can’t emphasize enough how many ways you can get creative with your wardrobe and think outside of the box: I also tied one of my belts from a Catherine’s dress around my neck and made it into a choker
We started day 4 with a inexplicably good breakfast at Laduree (another must if you’re taking notes). After finishing up, we took a boat tour which somehow made the city even more magical. We ended the night at Lido, a glamorous cabaret show that Beyonce may or may not have gotten some inspiration from. During the day I wore these white culottes that I’m fully obsessed with, a white tank top (I love the mesh panel!) and a grid vest that I loosely knotted. The cabaret show was a perfect ending to a truly amazing trip! Thank you so much to Catherine’s for the life long memories!
