One of my favorite things about dressing for the holidays is having fun with texture and trim. Since things stay relatively warm here in LA, I can skip the heavy coats and instead stick to just a sweater or jacket. I’m all about a “cozy chic” look, and mixing denim with something fuzzy up top is a great way to casually bring in holiday vibes–I’m loving this teddy bear bomber from Target’s Who What Wear line! I also like wearing jewel tones during this season and this mustard blouse has really cute details, from its open sleeves to the knotted tie. The booties are super versatile, and nothing screams holiday like a little bit of velvet!
While I know for many people, holiday dressing brings sequins to mind—AVA & VIV has some really cute options if that’s the route you want to go—I don’t think sparkles are a must for a great night time look, especially in LA where we’re known for our more casual vibes. There are other ways to bring holiday texture to your outfit: in addition to the cute print, this dress has sheer sleeves and faux leather trim. It can seamlessly take you from day to night, especially when you add the right shoe. These over-the-knee boots are perfection. They look like real suede and stretch to fit larger calves!
